So, war is right around the corner. By his principles, Francis would fight against the King — in other words, against his brothers. He and Thomazine are still sneaking around corners, but at least half a dozen people know what’s going on between them. And Thomazine has lied to Simon about why she doesn’t want to marry Dominic.
There is no possible way for any of this to end well, is there.
